Customer service: planing and grinding of stock shapes

The Stock Shapes Division has extended its online service. Customers interested in our planing and grinding services for sheets, round rods or tubes can make use of two new calculation programs on the Ensinger website.

The new calculation tools work in a similar way to programs for cutting to size and cutting waste calculation. After selecting the material, length and thickness / diameter, customers can select the final thickness to which the stock shape has to be ground or planed. The costs incurred by double tempering can also be indicated. In the case of plates, users are offered the option of “one-sided planing”. Those using the grinding calculator can also take advantage of an additional calculation function for a suitable protective packaging of the type used for medical products.
