Plastic is a valuable raw material used as a starting product for many high-quality finished goods, e.g. in the field of foodstuffs and medical devices as well as in mechanical engineering and automobile technology, semi-conductors or aerospace industries. Accordingly, the storage, handling and application of semi-finished goods and prefabricated elements made of plastic should be appropriately and very carefully undertaken, in order to maintain these values.
In the case of prefabricated elements, the manufacturer or user has to make an individual statement in this respect, as conditions can differ considerably and in many different ways, according to the duration of storage or the application.
