Engineering plastics

Engineering plastics are characterized by a long-term service temperature of between 100 and 150 °C. The materials used in this group have good mechanical properties for structural components without excessively stringent requirements. These plastics make up around 4 per cent of the world's plastic production. Typical materials belonging to this group are POM, PA, PET or PC.
