Ensinger also offers polyamides (PA6, PA6G, PA66, PA12, PA46) in a variety of different modifications.
TECAM 6 MO
The addition of molybdenum sulphide (MoS2) to PA6 results in an increase of rigidity, hardness and dimensional stability due to its nucleating effect. Conversely, the material's impact strength is reduced as a result. The additive also lends the material improved sliding friction properties.

TECAMID 6 GF30
This 30 % glass fibre reinforced TECAMID 6 demonstrates higher strength, rigidity, creep strength and dimensional stability than unreinforced TECAMID 6.

These properties make this material suitable for use in parts which are exposed to high static loads over long periods in high temperature conditions.
As glass fibres tend in some cases to have a marked abrasive effect on mating surfaces, TECAMID 6 GF30 is less suitable for sliding applications.
TECAMID TR
Due to its chemical structure, TECAMID TR is one of the amorphous polyamides and is consequently transparent. The amorphous structure also brings about slight shrinkage and tendency to warp. In addition, feedstocks demonstrate high chemical and stress crack resistance.

TECAST TM
TECAST TM is a TECAST T material modified by the addition of molybdenum sulphide (MoS2). The addition of MoS2 brings about an increase in the degree of crystallinity, lending the cast polyamide a higher degree of strength – without any appreciable deterioration of toughness. In addition, increasing the crystallinity results in improved surface hardness and better abrasion properties.

TECAST L
TECAST L is a cast polyamide modified with a special oil as a lubricant, which is particularly suitable for sliding applications - also in dry running conditions. Homogenous distribution of the lubricant ensures consistently high sliding and abrasion behaviour over the entire service life. Particularly notable is also low stick-slip susceptibility and a very low sliding wear rate.

TECAST GX
TECAST GX is a cast polyamide modified with a special solid lubricant. Due to its very good sliding wear properties and very good stick-slip behaviour, this material is particularly suitable for sliding applications - also in dry running conditions.

TECAGLIDE

TECARIM 1500
TECARIM 1500 is a PA6 block copolymer processed using the reaction injection moulding process. Its elastomer component makes this a tough material capable of withstanding high levels of stress.

TECARIM 4000
Like TECARIM 1500, TECARIM 4000 is a PA6 block copolymer processed using the reaction injection moulding process. The difference between the two materials is a higher elastomer component of 40%. As a result of this higher elastomer component, the material offers even greater toughness, which makes for substantially higher impact strength but markedly lower strength.

TECAMID 66 HI
TECAMID 66 HI features a special additive which reduces the thermal degradation of molecular chains. As a result of using this additive, higher service temperatures of around 15°C are achieved compared to standard PA66 types.

TECAMID 66 CF20
This is a 20% carbon fibre reinforced PA 66. This fibre reinforcement brings about increased rigidity, mechanical strength and creep strength coupled with lower density and lower dosing in comparison with 30% fibre filled TECAMID 66 GF30. Alongside these properties, the carbon fibres behave less abrasively than glass fibres and at the same time result in better sliding properties. Through the addition of carbon fibres, in addition a significantly higher heat conductivity is achieved, ensuring fast dissipation of friction heat which is also beneficial for sliding applications.

TECAMID 66 LA
TECAMID 66 LA is a material benefiting from an added solid lubricant. The solid lubricant improves the sliding friction properties as well as abrasion behaviour compared to TECAMID 66. In addition, however, the additive causes the material to have lower strength, rigidity and hardness.

TECAMID 66 MH

TECAMID 66/X GF50
TECAMID 66/X GF50 is a special material based on a partially crystalline polyamide with partial aromatic components. In addition to the heat stabilization, this material is also reinforced by a high proportion of 50% glass fibres. Due to this modification, the material can be used at high service temperatures of ~130°C under high loads.

TECAMID 12 TR
TECAMID 12 TR is a highly transparent, thermoplastic, amorphous PA12 based on aliphatic and cycloaliphatic elements. Due to the special polymer structure, the material demonstrates good hydrolytic and chemical stability. TECAMID 12 TR also provides excellent surface gloss and outstanding scratch and abrasion resistance compared to other amorphous materials.
